
David Walls Receives CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District Honors

Providence, RI- Brown University junior David Walls (Leeds,
England) has been named CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic
All-District in men's soccer. A Second Team All-District
honoree, Walls is making his first appearance on the team as a
defender. The team is selected by voting members of the College
Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
An Economics Concentrator, Walls has played in integral role on
Brown's back line during his last three seasons. A 2009 team
captain, Walls has played in 14 games and has scored two goals and
dished out one assist. He has helped lead a defense to five
shutouts, and has allowed just 13 goals, as the Bears sit in second
place in Ivy League standings with a 3-2-0 record. Walls has
competed in 48 games in his career thus far, and has four goals and
five assists.
The Brown men's soccer team is back in action at 4:30 p.m.
on Saturday, Nov. 7, when it takes on Yale. The Bears will end
regular season action at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15 when it hosts
Dartmouth at Stevenson Field.
