Sophomore attack Risa Mosenthal scored a career-high eight goals – matching the program’s single-game record – to lead Brown to a 16-9 win over Quinnipiac in its season opener on Saturday. A native of Campton, N.H., Mosenthal netted five goals in the first half, while tallying four draw controls and two ground balls in the game. She netted her eight goals on 13 shots and went 3-for-3 on free-position shots. Mosenthal tied the Bears’ single-game goals record, which Anne Marie Van Hengel ’84 set in 1983.
