Julia Kincade has served as the Associate AD, Business Operations at Brown University since August 2021 and was promoted to Senior Associate AD, Business Operations/CFO in June 2023.
In her current role, Kincade is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the annual operating budget, overseeing the processing and proper reporting of all financial transactions, and directing the maintenance of all internal and external reporting. She is also the daily financial and budget liaison supporting the coaches of 34 varsity sports and administrators representing units including club sports, intramurals and recreation. She also provides oversight of both the purchasing and revenue functions within the business office. In addition to her business office oversight, Kincade will be the sport supervisor for men's soccer, men's tennis, women's tennis and women's/co-ed sailing.
Before Brown, Kincade held the position of Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations at the University of Miami since 2015. At Miami she worked closely with coaches and staff in the development, preparation, refinement, and review of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports for the executive/senior staff, head coaches, and the University budget office. In addition, she worked hand-in-hand with all units to develop an annual zero-based budget, as well as execution of interdepartmental budget training. Kincade analyzed current budget trends and interpreted financial data to make resource allocation recommendations as well as assisting in the facilitation of strategic financial planning including the annual operating budget, the five-year operating budget plan, and the five-year capital plan. Kincade oversaw audits for ticketed sports, handed daily revenue recognition and reconciliation for all ticket office transactions, worked with University Advancement and the Hurricane Club to recognize gift revenue, and fulfilled ticketing revenue share reports with Hard Rock Stadium.
Kincade served as the Arizona Coyotes' box office manager for over four years. Before the Coyotes, she also worked in ticket operations for Sporting Kansas City (2010-2011) and the Springfield Falcons of Springfield, Mass. (2008-2010).
Kincade graduated Magna Cum Laude from Springfield College (Mass.) in 2008 with her B.S. in Sport Management and minors in both Business Management and Economics. She earned her master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami in 2019.
