2016 Outdoor: Placed 11th in the javelin at the Ivy League Championship … finished seventh in the heptathlon at the Virginia Challenge … third in the javelin at the Mark Young Invitational … fourth in the 100 hurdles at the Brown Springtime Open … also competed at the Ocean State Invite, High Point VertKlasse Meeting and Raleigh Relays.

2015-16 Indoor: Competed in the pentathlon at the Ivy League Indoor Championships, finishing third in the long jump with a personal best of 17-4.25 and 12th overall … Set personal records in the 60m hurdles (9.47), high jump (4-11.5) and shot put (33-2.5) during the season.

2015 Outdoor: Placed seventh in the heptathlon with 4,440 points at the Ivy League Championship … placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Brown Springtime Open … also competed at the Sam Howell Invitational, Mark Young Invitational and Brown Invitational.

2014-15 Indoor: Won the shot put (31-4.5) at the Coaches vs. Domestic Violence Tribute … Also competed at the BU Valentine Invitational, the BU Terrier Invitational, the Joe Donahue Games, and the URI Pentathlon.

2014 Outdoor: Competed in four different events during the season … posted a fourth-place finish in the long jump at the Brown Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the Brown Springtime Open.

2013-14 Indoor: Finished fourth in the shot put at the USATF New England Indoor Championship with a personal best 31’ 0.5” … Recorded a season best 8.58 in the 60 meter hurdle at the Brown University Invitational, good enough for third place.

2012-13: Had a very strong showing at the Brown Springtime Open, taking third in long jump, fourth in javelin, and eighth in the 200m.

Before Brown: Three-time State meet qualifier in the long jump and a one-time state meet qualifier in both the triple jump and pentathlon ... All-State 4x400, 2nd at states - pentathlon (all-state), 4th at nys federation - pentathlon (all-federation), 8th place finish indoor nationals - pentathlon ... All-American – Heptathlon, 2x Millrose Games Participant 4x400 - 2nd place in 2011, 1st place & meet record 2012.

Personal: Heather E. Sweeney is the daughter of Bob and Jeanne Sweeney of Massapequa, New York … She has two brothers, Rob and Danny … A Principal’s Honor Roll student and a member of the National Honor Society at Massapequa High School … Concentrating in Biology.
