Max Schmidhauser joined the Brown women's tennis coaching staff in June 2026 as an assistant coach.
Schmidhauser came to Brown after serving as a volunteer assistant for Bryant's women's tennis program, and while currently serving as an assistant women's tennis coach at the University of Rhode Island.
Prior to his time coaching, Schmidhauser attended Boston University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science before earning his Masters in Strategic Communciation from Azusa Pacific University. At APU Schmidhauser was a walk-on, and appeared in 26 dual singles matches where he posted a 16-3 record. He helped the Cougars achieve a national ranking as high as fifth in NCAA Division II.
