2015-16: Finished seventh in 1M diving and 16th in 3M diving at the Ivy League Championships … Named the Ron Keenhold Career High Point Diver at the Ivy League Championships for scoring more points over her career than all other class of 2016 divers … Won the 3M against Columbia and placed second in 1M … Took second in 3M at Cornell … Also competed in meets against Dartmouth/Princeton, Harvard/Penn, Columbia and Cornell.
2014-15: Finished 10th on 3-meter and 11th on 1-meter at Ivy Championships ... Finished 2nd on both 1-meter and 3-meter at Columbia ... Finished 2nd on 3-meter in the Bears’ dual meet victory over Cornell ... Finished 5th on 1-meter and 11th on 3-meter at the Brown Invitational in December.
2013-14: Competed in the 1M(6th) and 3M(14th) at the Ivy League Championships … Finished fourth in the 1M in a dual meet against Cornell … Finished first in the 1M and fourth in the 3M competitions against Bryant … Competed in four dual meets on the year ... Finished 6th on 1m and 14th on 3m in the Ivy League Championships.
2012-13: Placed 13th in the 1-meter event at the Ivy League Championship meet with a score of 235.50, scoring points for the Bears … Her highest score from the season, a point total of 275.62, ranks her second on Brown's list of all-time top five performers … Qualified for the NCAA Division I Zone A Diving Championships, finishing 16th with a combined score of 454.80 … Earned her varsity letter.
Before Brown: Graduated from Hudson High School where she was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society … Earned four varsity letters as a member of the Hudson High School swimming and diving team, captaining the team during her junior and senior year … Reached the diving podium at the Ohio State Championships in 2011 (8th) and 2012 (4th) … Recognized by the Akron Touchdown Club as Diver of the Year for 2011 and 2012, and Rookie of the Year in 2009…Also competed for the Akron Rippers … A 2011 and 2012 All-American diver … A three-time USA Diving National qualifier…Named an Academic All-American in 2012.
Personal: Rachel Speakman is the daughter of Laura and Eric Speakman of Hudson, Ohio ... She has one younger sister, Bailey … Her father, Eric, was a diver at Indiana University of PA … Her grandfather, Edward Speakman, attended Brown for graduate work in mathematics … Enjoys playing the violin and absolutely anything outdoors.
