2014 | Stats: Played in a career-high 12 games … Made starts against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 14), Dartmouth (Sept. 28), and Bryant (Oct. 1).
2013 | Stats: Appeared in four games, starting two … Earned her first career start in the Bears’ season opener against Quinnipiac (Sept. 6); registered one shot on goal against the Bobcats.
2012 | Stats: Played in four games, while adjusting to the collegiate game … Saw action against New Hampshire (Sept. 2), Harvard (Oct. 13), Penn (Oct. 27) and Yale (Nov. 4).
Before Brown: A four-sport athlete at Wyoming High School in Ohio, Jolson was a member of the soccer, basketball, and track teams for four years, and also dove for one year … Served as captain of the soccer and track teams for two consecutive seasons and of the basketball team for one … Jolson holds the Wyoming High School record for career goals (73), assists (51), and goals in a season (27) … Was named to the First Team All-State, NSCAA All-Region IV American Team, First Team All-Southwest Ohio (3 years), Cincinnati Enquirer All-City (2 years), Cincinnati Enquirer Second Team, and Two-Time Cincinnati Hills League Player of the Year … Played club soccer for the Cincinnati United Premier Crew Juniors (CUP) … Had a very successful career on the track as well, competing in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and high jump … Was a State Finalist in the 4x100 relay in 2009 and was named both First Team Cincinnati Hills League and Wyoming High School MVP Sprinter for three consecutive years … On the basketball court, Jolson led her team to a 2011 Sectional Championship and was named to the District 16 Second Team in 2010 as well as to the CHL Second Team in both 2010 and 2011 … A member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and High Honor Roll (4 years) … Recipient of the Brown University Book Award and the Best Overall Speaker Award for Oral Communications, published in the “Icarus” Literary Magazine.
Personal: The daughter of Scott and Julie Jolson, Michelle has two older brothers, David and Drew … Mother, Julie (nee Roth) played soccer at Brown, while father, Scott, played baseball at Brown … Grandfather, Wesley Roth, played baseball at Brown, graduating in 1953 … Uncle, Jim Roth, and great uncle, Clare Roth, also attended Brown … Jolson plays the viola, piano, and guitar, and enjoys writing, traveling, volunteering, Spanish Club, and participating in Soccer and Service in Costa Rica with Rustic Pathways … Concentrating in Psychology.
