2015: Appeared in 12 games ... posted a career-high seven goals in 2015 ... scored a pair of goals against UMass-Lowell (4/14) ... recorded two assists vs. San Diego State (3/31) ... picked up two ground balls against both UMass-Lowell (4/14) and Princeton (4/25) ... also scored against Central Connecticut State (3/1), Cornell (3/21), Harvard (4/4), Columbia (4/11), and Princeton (4/25).
2014: Tallied four points in four games played ... recorded a goal and an assist against Sacred Heart (2/23) and Central Connecticut State (3/15) ... grabbed a ground ball vs. Sacred Heart ... controlled two draws at Colorado (3/22) ... registered two shots and caused one turnover vs. Central Connecticut State.
2013: Appeared in four games and tallied one assist, against Holy Cross … Had one draw control, against Quinnipiac … Also played against Manhattan and St. Mary’s.
Before Brown: A four-sport athlete at Skaneateles High School and a two-sport athlete during her post-grad year at Loomis Chaffee Prep, Vitkus played lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and also ran indoor track prior to coming to Brown … As a four-year member of the lacrosse team at Skaneateles, Vitkus served as team captain during her senior season … Helped lead the team to three Onondaga League Championships (2008, 2009, 2011), as well as the Section III and Regional Championship titles in 2008 … Named to the First Team All-Onondaga League (2010 and 2011) as well as the First Team All-Central New York (2011) … Led Skaneateles in total points (68) and goals (57) during her junior year … Named as a US Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2010 and 2011, and a US Lacrosse All-American in 2011 … Honored as an Athletic Scholar for four years, and an Auburn Citizen All-Star for two years … During her year at Loomis, she led the lacrosse team in total points (88), assists (34), and draw controls (52), receiving the Coaches Award for the season … Also helped the team to the Founders League Championship, as well as the Western New England Championship … A member of the National Honor Society, she was named to the Honor Roll for four years at Skaneateles and the High Honor Roll at Loomis.
Personal: The daughter of James and Suzanne Vitkus, Dianne has two older sisters, Lauren, a 2009 graduate of Brown and a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team, and Karen, a 2011 graduate of Wagner and a three-year member of the women’s lacrosse team … Concentrating in Health and Human Biology.
