2021-22: Stroked the 2V8 crew for the majority of the season before moving to the two-seat at the NCAA Championship … Helped the 2V8 finish seventh at the NCAA Championship and second at the Ivy League Championship … Captured first at the Eastern Sprints with the second boat … Helped the 2V8 to wins over Cornell, Dartmouth, Ohio State, Princeton, and Radcliffe during the season.
2020-21: Raced with the second varsity eight for the majority of the season … Helped the second varsity eight place seventh at the NCAA Championships (May 28-30) and the Bears finish eighth as a team at NCAAs … Aided the second varsity eight to a 14-4 record on the year.
2019-20: Raced with the C varsity eight at the Princeton Chase (Oct. 27), placing 11th out of 47 entries … Spring season canceled due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
2018-19: Raced with the A varsity four for the majority of the season … Placed second with the A varsity four at the Ivy League Championship and eighth with the A varsity four at the NCAA Championships … Helped Brown place second as a team at the Ivy Championship and ninth as a team at the NCAA Championships … Aided the A varsity four to a 25-10 record on the year.
Before Brown: Came in second in the women’s varsity eight at the 2018 Youth National Championships … Placed fourth in the varsity eight at Youth Nationals in 2017 … Finished second and third in the varsity eight at the Head of the Charles in 2017 and 2016 respectively … Rowed for coaches Heidi Hunsberger and Catherine Starr ’05 … Competed on the club level for Greenwich Crew … National Honor Society student.
Personal: Amanda is the daughter of Daniel Pyne … Has one older brother, Christopher … Grandfather Ed Sherman attended Brown … Entered Brown undecided on a concentration.
