Brianna Thomas joined the Brown Women's Basketball staff in October of 2023.
Thomas most recently served as an assistant coach at Colby College since 2021. While at Colby College, Thomas assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scheduling and building a leadership curriculum for captains. She also served as the lead assistant for the guards.
Prior to Colby College, Thomas was a graduate assistant at Boston College overseeing the managers and helping the coaching staff with scouting. She also spent a year as the assistant coach for the Merrimack College women’s program, assistant in all aspects of the program in its first year as a Division I program.
Thomas got her start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Duquesne, serving on the staff for two seasons. Thomas was on staff for the first Duquesne team to make the sweet sixteen of th WNIT in 2017-18.
Prior to being a graduate assistant, Thomas was a four year team member, three-year captain and two-year starter for the Dukes. Thomas made the postseason in all four seasons at Duquesne, making the NCAA Tournament in 2015-16 as the A-10 regular season champion and defeating Seton Hall in the First Round. Thomas was a member of three other teams to play in the WNIT.
