Born July 16, 1994 to Neeta and Gilles Demeulenaere. His brother Philip also plays for the squash team at Brown. Alex grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He played his high school squash at Philips Academy Andover and was captain his senior year. He won the Fagan award twice and the Hoitsma award his senior year. He transferred to Brown from Trinity College where he competed for the squash team. He was a Honor Roll student at Andover and in his free time he likes to play piano and soccer; he is also an avid reader.
