The senior is playing like a seasoned veteran: James has a very good grasp of both the team’s slide schemes and his own strengths and limitations. As we employed various slide packages in the fall, James quickly gained a keen understanding of his role in them and he asserted himself as one of our best sliders and communicators. On the ball, James has learned how to funnel athletic dodgers and takeaway their primary move. It is this developing defensive acumen that is valuable to our program and the reason why James is in the mix with playing time with both our all-even and man-down defenses...2015: Saw action in 13 games, mostly on Brown's man-down...Caused one turnover vs. Dartmouth... 2014: Saw action in 11 games for the Bears, picking up three ground balls... 2013: Missed the entire season due to injury...Secondary School Background: A graduate of The Lawrenceville, where he lettered in lacrosse (3) and ice hockey (3)…Lacrosse (Defense) - 3-year starter…3-time New Jersey Prep A State Championships…won 3 MAPL Championships…2012 Academic All-American…2011 Champ Camp National Champions…2011 Vail Shootout U-19 All Star Team….Ice Hockey (Goalie) –3-year starter…Academic Honors and Awards - Member of Cum Laude Society…earned three consecutive years of High Honors…Recipient of Religion Department Prize and the Kinnan House Best GPA Award…Personal: The son of Jim and Mary Lawrence…Has a twin brother, Christian, who attends Yale, and a brother, Thomas…Enjoys politics and investing…Undecided on his concentration.
