Megan Cullinane Healy joined the Brown Athletics staff as the Assistant Director of Athletics, Compliance in 2023.
Prior to joining Brown, Cullinane Healy was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Student Athlete Welfare and Athletics Deputy Title IX Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts Boston from 2018-23. At UMass Boston, Cullinane Healy directed and supervised all aspects of the NCAA DIII compliance program; including the Little East Conference, the New England Hockey Conference, and the NCAA and institutional rules in the areas of recruitment, financial aid, amateurism, satisfactory academic performance, playing and practice seasons and initial and continuing eligibilty.
Cullinane Healy also started a mental wellness campaign and helped educate student athletes on mental wellness. She also hosted mental wellness presentations for coaches and student athletes, as well as seminars on Title IX and sexual violence for student athletes and understanding consent for coaches.
Before UMass Boston, Cullinane Healy made stops in the compliance office at New Haven and New York Institute of Technology. Cullinane Healy began her career in college athletics as a graduate assistant for compliance and operations at Franklin Pierce University.
Cullinane Healy was a student athlete at Bridgewater State, where she competed in field hockey and was the captain of both the indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She graduated with a bachelors of arts in communication and a minor in public relations and management from Bridgewater State before earning a master of business administration, sports management from Franklin Pierce.
