Izzy Cox '23 joined the Brown sailing staff as an assistant coach in 2023. Cox sailed for Brown from 2019-2023.
Cox was named an All-American Crew and All-NEISA First Team Crew. She also earned the 2023 NEISA Student Leadership Award. Cox represented Brown at the Open Team Race Nationals, helping the Bears place third. She represented Brown at the Open Fleet Race Nationals, helping the Bears place sixth. She helped Brown win the Danmark Trophy and Admirals Cup. She competed during a total of 17 weekends for the Bears throughout the season.
During the 2021-22 season, Cox helped Brown win the BU Team Race and Rhody the Riveter. She also competed multiple weekends throughout the season.
In 2020-21, she raced with the Bears against Rhode Island on Apr. 24. The season was shortened due to COVID-19.
