
No. 3 Women’s Sailing Finishes Third, No. 6 Open Finishes Fifth at Team Race National Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown sailing teams spent last week in New Orleans, La., competing in their respective Team Race National Championships, highlighted by the No. 3 women finishing third and the No. 6 open team finishing fifth.
The women's sailing team capped off their team race season with a third place podium finish out of 15 teams in the College Sailing Women's Team Race National Championship. The Bears finished with a 14-9 record behind Stanford and Yale. This marks the second time that Brown has posted a podium finish at the event in the past four years, after a third place finish in 2023.
The open sailing team closed out its team race season with a strong fifth place finish out of 15 teams in the Open Team Race National Championship. Brown finished with a 12-10 record, falling out of the final four on a tiebreaker. The Bears have finished top five at the event for the past four years (fifth in 2025, fourth in 2024, third in 2023).

The Bears will now prepare for the College Sailing Fleet Race National Championships from May 15-22 hosted by the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Fla. Both teams have earned automatic qualification by finishing within the top two at the NEISA Fleet Race Championships earlier this spring.
