
Men’s Tennis Drops Road Battle at No. 71 Dartmouth

Hanover, N.H. - The Brown men's tennis team (15-12, 0-5 Ivy) came up short at No. 71 Dartmouth (15-8, 3-1 Ivy), 2-5, on Sunday afternoon.
In doubles, Ivan Sodan and Elliot Wasserman were edged by No. 69 Henry Ren and Miles Groom, 7-6 (7-2), at the top spot. Zander Bravo and Noah Hernandez earned a 6-3 win over Malhar Patel and Adrian Treacy on court two, while Lukas Phimvongsa and Cole Oberg secured a 6-3 victory against Kornel Halmos and Denny Bao at the third position.
In singles play, Sodan was defeated by Ren at the first line, 6-1, 6-2. Phimvongsa dropped his match to Groom, 6-3, 6-1. Hernandez battled to a three-set win over Halmos, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, while Robert Yang came up just short in a tight tiebreak against Treacy, 6-1, 2-6, 10-7. At the fifth spot, Wasserman fell to Leo Pade, 6-2, 6-4, and Alex Koong was defeated by Bao on the sixth line, 6-3, 6-2.
Brown will close its 2026 regular season next weekend at Penn on Saturday, Apr. 18 and at Princeton on Sunday, Apr. 19.
