CLEVELAND, Ohio – Brown senior wide receiver Ty Pezza has been recognized as one of 57 athletes nation-wide as part of the FCS Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
A native of North Kingstown, R.I. and concentrating in computer science and business economics, Pezza earned Second Team All-Ivy honors and Second Team Phil Steele All-Ivy recognition this past season. He led the Bears and ranked fifth in the Ivy League with 59.9 receiving yards per game while also leading the team in receptions (46) and touchdowns (7). He had two touchdowns as part of a career-high 172-yard effort at Cornell on October 25 and scored at least one touchdown in six games this season.
To be nominated for the award, players must be from an FCS institution and have a minimum 3.2 GPA and have been a starter or key contributor with legitimate athletic credentials during the 2025 season. Players must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's games and have reached at least their second year of athletic and academic standing at their current institution.
