Ayla Sahin Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bears sophomore forward Ayla Sahin has been named women's soccer Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Sahin scored two game-winning goals in wins over Rhode Island and UConn. She recorded seven shots this week, consistently using her speed to pressure the backline of the opposing defense.
Against Rhode Island, she used the outside of her foot to redirect a pass into the low corner. Against UConn, her goal was scored one-on-one with the goalkeeper after beating her defender convincingly in a foot race to the ball.
The Bears will return to action on Thursday, facing the Northeastern Huskies at home.
