Volleyball Swept by Arkansas State

ORLANDO, Fla. – Brown volleyball was swept by Arkansas State on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 13) at UCF.
Ally Panzloff led Brown (2-3) with eight kills, followed by Mariia Sidorova with seven and Hannah Flannery with six. Julia Kakkis finished the match with 13 assists.
Jessie Golden reached double-figure digs again with 13. Yuna Yang was second on the team with eight digs. At the net, Brown finished with just four blocks as Sophia Wolfson finished with three.
Arkansas State (4-4) hit .337 in the match with Daedrianna Cail leading the way with 11 kills. The Red Wolves finished the game with 10 service aces, to just one by Brown.
Brown could not get anything going in the first, falling 25-8 and dropped the second set 25-15.
In the final frame, Brown fell behind 21-17 but used a 4-0 run, capped by kills from Sidorova and Panloff to tie the set at 21. After an Arkansas State timeout, the Red Wolves scored the final four points of the match.

Brown will finish its weekend with a match against UCF on Sunday (Sept. 14) at 1 p.m.
