PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Former Brown women's basketball standout Isabella Mauricio '25 has signed a professional contract with KB Trepça.
"We are so proud of Bella as she announces the start of her pro career," said Elizabeth F. Turner '98 Coaching Chair for Women's Basketball Monique LeBlanc. "With her elite work ethic, it is no surprise that she earned this opportunity. In her time at Brown, Bella always prepared and trained like a pro so we know that she is ready to make an immediate impact with Trepça," said LeBlanc. "We'll be cheering hard for Bella from Providence!"
KB Trepça was founded in 1947 and is located in Mitrovica, Kosovo. The club competes in the Kosovo Basketball Superleague, and internationally in the Fiba Europe Cup. KB Trepça plays in the Salla e sporteve Minatori.
Mauricio closed out the 2024-25 season ranking within the team's top three in multiple statistical categories. She ranked third on the team in field goals made (70), three-pointers made (38), free throws made (29), and steals (28). Mauricio had the second-highest free throw percentage (.906), points (207), and assists (41) on the Bears. She was one of the four players on the team who made appearances in all 27 games last season.
The Pleasanton, Calif. native etched her name into the program's record book after joining the 1,000 point club earlier this year. She also finished her career with 216 three-pointers made, ranking her third in program history.
Mauricio most recently spent time playing with the Bay City Blaze of the Women's Premier Basketball Association. In her time there Mauricio was selected as a WPBA All-Star, named to the USBasket.com All-WPBA Third Team, and was crowned a 2025 WPBA Champion with the Bay City Blaze.
