PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Former Brown men's basketball standout Kino Lilly Jr. '25 has signed a professional contract with the Surrey 89ers, the 89ers play in the Super League Basketball in Great Britain.
The 2025-26 season will be the second-ever season for the 89ers and the second-ever season of Super League Basketball. Super League Basketball is the top-level basketball league in Great Britain.
"I'm excited for the fans of Surrey and of course for Kino as he embarks on the beginning of his professional career," Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 said. "Kino will be a great teammate and a consummate professional. Go 89ers!"
Ltilly Jr. signs with the 89ers after earning a spot on the San Antonio Spurs' 2025 Summer League roster.
Lilly Jr. concluded his career first in program history in three-pointers made (328), second in program history in points (1,878), and in field goals made (648). He is the only player in program history, and the third player in Ivy League history to make over 300 three-pointers.
Following the 2024-25 season, he became the fourth player in program history to earn First Team All-Ivy in three consecutive seasons, joining a list of Mike Cingiser (1960-62), Earl Hunt (2001-03), and Jason Forte (2003-05).
Lilly's 16.6 points per game average and 82.7 free throw percentage ranks fifth in program history. He finished his junior season with the second-most three-pointers in a single season (90), and finished his senior season with the third-most three-pointers in a single season (88). Lilly was also named NABC Second Team All-Mid Atlantic District following the 2024-25 season and was named to the Lou Henson Award Watch List in November.
