Men’s Basketball Claims 59-47 Road Victory at New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. - The Brown men's basketball team (3-5) claimed a 59-47 win at New Hampshire (2-5) on Wednesday afternoon inside Lundholm Gymnasium.
After the Wildcats opened the scoring with a three-pointer, the Bears launched a 12-5 run to take a 12-8 lead into the first half under 12 media timeout. Brown's early offensive output came from points from turnovers as 10 of its first 12 points were off of turnovers.
Brown's defense caused eight turnovers in the first half as Jeremiah Jenkins, Brady Loughlin, and Adrian Uchidiuno each had one steal. Landon Lewis led the way offensively in the opening 20 minutes with 11 points on 4-9 shooting from the floor, Lewis also corralled four rebounds.
Loughlin added nine first half points on 4-5 shooting from the floor as Brown took a 33-29 advantage into the second half.
The Bears outscored the Wildcats 25-18 in the second half behind 9-21 shooting from the floor, Loughlin led all scorers with eight second half points on 2-3 shooting from the floor.
Brown's defense continued to shine in the second half with five steals and four blocks, Jenkins added two second half steals while N'famara Dabo rejected two shots.
Loughlin finished with a career high 17 points on 6-8 shooting from the floor and 3-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Lewis also added 17 points on 7-14 shooting to go along with seven rebounds. Lewis has scored in double figures in all three appearances this season.
Uchidiuno added 13 points off the bench on 6-8 shooting from the floor and 3-5 shooting from three-point range. The junior also added two steals.
Brown will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when they travel to Rhode Island, tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Ryan Center.
