PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's hockey head coach Melanie Ruzzi has announced the 2025-26 schedule. The Bears will start the season on Oct. 17 and will host 16 home games at Meehan Auditorium.
Brown starts the season on the road, opening up play at Boston University on Friday, Oct. 17. The Bears' home opener will be on Sunday (Oct. 19) against Merrimack.
ECAC play begins for Brown the following weekend as the Bears host Princeton (Oct. 24) and Quinnipiac (Oct. 25). Brown's first ECAC road trip will be against Colgate (Oct. 31) and Cornell (Nov. 1).
The Bears non-conference schedule will also feature home games against Delaware (Nov. 8 & 9), Providence (Nov. 29), New Hampshire (Nov. 30) and RIT (Jan. 24). Brown will also travel to Portland, Maine for a neutral site game against Maine on Dec. 30.
"Kicking off the season with a visit to the defending Hockey East Champion, Boston University sets the stage for an electric year of highly competitive hockey," said Ruzzi. "The full slate of ECAC play complemented by non-league contests with opponents from Hockey East (BU, Merrimack, Providence College, UNH), AHA (Delaware, RIT) and NEWHA (Sacred Heart) will ready the team for a run through the playoffs. With eight First Years joining an experienced and motivated roster of returners, fans of Brown Hockey will be in for an excited season ahead."
Brown will host Dartmouth (Nov. 14), Harvard (Nov. 15) and Yale (Dec. 6) as home ECAC games before the winter break. The Bears will be on the road for ECAC games at Clarkson (Nov. 21), St. Lawrence (Nov. 22) and Yale (Dec. 7) before the calendar flips to 2026.
To start the new year, Brown will host Rensselaer (Jan. 2) and Union (Jan. 3). The Bears will also host Cornell (Jan. 16), Colgate (Jan. 17), St. Lawrence (Feb. 6) and Clarkson (Feb. 7).
Brown's road games in 2026 will be weekends at Harvard (Jan. 9) and Dartmouth (Jan. 10), Union (Jan. 30) and Rensselaer (Jan. 31) and the Bears will finish the regular season at Quinnipiac (Feb. 13) and Princeton (Feb. 14).
