
Sailing Announces 2025 Fall Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Barry Family Director of Sailing Chair John Mollicone has announced the program's schedule for the fall 2025 season. The open and women's teams will compete in a total of 33 events from September through November, with the ability to compete for six conference and national titles.
The Bears will open their season on Saturday, Sept. 6, when they compete in five different events throughout the course of the weekend. The open sailing team will compete for the Harry Anderson Trophy at Yale (Sept. 6-7), the Pine Trophy at Coast Guard (Sept. 6-7), and in the Harvard Invitational (Sept. 7). The open team will also host the Bears Invitational, their first of four home races for the fall on Sept. 6. The women's team will head to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to compete for the Toni Deutsch Trophy (Sept. 6-7).
Brown will host two conference races in September. The women's team will host the NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championship, with the open team hosting the NEISA Open Monotype Championship. Both of these events will take place from Sept. 12-13. The open team will also host the Sherman Hoyt Trophy from Sept. 20-21.
The open and women's teams will spend the remainder of the season on the road. The fall season closes out with the ICSA Open and Women's Singlehanded National Championships, and the Match Race National Championship. The Open and Women's Singlehanded Championships will take place at Old Dominion from Nov. 7-9, with the Match Race National Championship taking place from Nov. 14-16 at UCF.
