Men's Swimming and Diving Posts Highest Team GPA in Division I

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown men's swimming and diving posted the highest team GPA in Division I in the spring semester as the CSCAA announced the Spring Team Scholar All-America Teams, the association announced on Wednesday (July 2).Â
Jack Kelly and Rowland Lawver were both named First Team Scholar All-American and Christian Duetoft, Max Hardart, Marcel Mateos-Salles, Marcus Lee, Marton Nagy, Matt Williamson and Matteo Vasiliadis were named Second Team Scholar All-American. To be named a Scholar All-American, an individual must post a 3.5 GPA or higher. First Team honorees competed in the National Championships while Second Team honorees posted a "B" cut NCAA time or competed in the Zone diving championships.
The CSCAA honored 763Â teams from 432 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2025 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,459 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.
To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2025 semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
