The Brown Women’s Swimming & Diving program is adding six swimmers and one diver to the team for the Class of 2029 as well as one transfer swimmer to the Class of 2028, Mary Ann Lippitt Women’s Swimming/Diving Coaching Chair Kate Kovenock announced.
"We're very excited for the Class of 2029 to join us on College Hill this fall," said Kovenock. "Athletically, they have the ability to raise the competitive standing of our program right from the start. That said, I think their collective presence will add more than simply athletic prowess. These are bright, driven, and talented individuals who connected not only with our team and the core philosophies of the program but also with the foundational principles of Brown University itself. That can be a really powerful combination."
The 2024-2025 Brown Women’s Swimming & Diving campaign with a fourth place team finish at Ivy Championships, eight school records, and nine student-athletes earning second team CSCAA Scholar All-American honors. Brown Women’s Swimming & Diving will have two student-athletes competing at World Championships in Singapore – rising senior Amie Barrow representing The Gambia and incoming first-year Isabella Dieffenthaller representing Trinidad and Tobago.
