Men’s Tennis Ranked No. 6 in New England Region by ITA, Three Bears Regionally Ranked

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team was ranked No. 6 by the ITA in the New England region, Alex Finkelstein was ranked No. 6 in singles and Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa were ranked No. 10 in doubles.
This is the first time the Bears have been ranked since 2019, the Bears checked in at No. 7 in the Northeast Region.
As a team, the Bears enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history with 18 wins, the most since 2009. Brown's 16 home wins tied the best mark in program history set back in 2006. Brown also picked up its first win over a ranked win since 2015 with a 4-3 win over No. 70 NJIT on March 9.
On May 22, Finkelstein was named the No. 123 singles player in the nation by the ITA, he also checked in at No. 115 on April 15. He was the first Brown singles performer to be ranked since Dan Hanegby in 2007 and was named Second Team All-Ivy Singles. The Raynham, Mass. native finished the season with a 17-10 singles mark.
After being named Honorable Mention All-Ivy in Doubles, Hernandez and Phimvongsa earned regional recognition. The doubles pairing ended the season with a 13-10 mark and a team-best 8-6 record against opponents' No. 1 doubles pairings.
