CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Brown rising senior Lucy Adams is one of 24 athletes who have been selected to the Team USA roster for the upcoming Cathy Bessant International Series against No. 11 Ireland. The series will take place June 7-8 in Charlotte, N.C.
The 14th ranked USWNT will use the Ireland Series as part of its tune-up for the Pan American Cup, which will take place in late July in Uruguay. The group of 24 American athletes features eight Olympians.
A native of Andover, Massachusetts, Adams is no stranger to international competition, as she previously represented the U.S. in its New Zealand Tour in January and was subsequently named to the U.S. Senior National Team.
A Second Team NFHCA All-America honoree in 2024, Adams also earned NFHCA First Team All-Northeast Region accolades this past season. She has earned All-Ivy League honors in each of her first three seasons on College Hill, including a pair of First Team accolades.
This past season, she led Brown with 11 assists and tied for the team lead with 19 points. Adams helped lead the Bears to a berth in the Ivy League Tournament in 2024 and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
