Seligmann Breaks Record as Track and Field Competes at Multiple Meets

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., ATLANTA, Ga. – The Brown track and field programs competed at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational and Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Delaney Seligmann set a new school record in the women's long jump, as there were several strong performances across the board.
GEORGIA TECH INVITATIONAL
Delaney Seligmann broke the Brown outdoor record in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.31 meters. Julia'Belle Reyfman set the eighth best mark in school history in the javelin throw with a mark of 41.67 meters.
Jason Estrada performed well in the 200 meter run with a time of 21.82. Frank Monahan-Morang was fifth in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.20 meters. Joseph Oduro also placed fifth in his event with a mark of 15.39 meters in the triple jump.
MIT SEAN COLLIER INVITATIONAL
Morgan Boonshaft set the fourth best time in school history in the 5000 meter race (16:26.24). Nimrit Ahuja set the sixth best time in school history in the 3000 meter Steeplechase (10:38.31).
Emily Mrakovcic (2nd/4:27.39), Isolde McManus (3rd/4:30.55) and Julia Schriefer (4th/4:31.72) had strong performances in the 1500 meter race. Lillian Kaelber (3rd/2:15.46) and Nina Kruzewska (4th/2:16.76) competed in the 800 meter race.
Maria Camposano was first in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 14:31. Nicolette Ducharme (2nd/52.53m), Sophia Gallucci (3rd/51.85m) and Giana DeCesare (4th/51.06m) were strong in the women's hammer throw.
John Ryan tied the eighth fastest mile time in school history with 4:09.74. Aaron Caveney was among the standouts, finishing second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.93.
Matthew Wing (3:56.88) and Kit Jackson (3:58.04) finished first and second in the 1500 meter race, respectively. John Mueller was first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.91. Karon Johnson was first in the shot put with a mark of 15.14 meters.
UP NEXT
The Bears will return to action next weekend with the Penn Relays hosted by UPenn and Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet at UMass Amherst.
