PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's crew team enters the 2025 season with high hopes and expectations, not just internally but externally as well.Â
Coming off of a sixth place finish at last year's NCAA Championships, both the Junior Rowing News (JRN) and Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) have the Bears ranked sixth in the nation. The JRN poll can be found in its entirety HERE, while the CRCA poll can be found HERE.
The Ivy League is well represented in each poll, with Princeton (fourth in JRN and CRCA) and Yale (fifth in JRN and seventh in CRCA) also securing top ten rankings before the season begins.
The Bears enter the season with a new head coach, as Tessa Gobbo-Zimmerman '13 takes over after four seasons with the program as an assistant coach. The first race of the season is scheduled for March 29 against the Princeton Tigers in New Jersey.Â
