PROVIDENCE, R.I. - With the regular season and inaugural Ivy League Tournament in the past, two Brown University wrestlers will anxiously await the final decisions of the NCAA DI wrestling selection committee.
Blake Saito (157) has put together a strong and consistent season for the Bears, finishing the 2024-25 campaign with a 13-5 overall record. Saito, who posted a 6-3 record in dual competition, finished in 4th place at the Ivy League Tournament on March 9. Currently ranked #31 in the country for his weight class, the potential for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships on March 20 remains a strong possibility for the Senior as we near the selection show on Wednesday.
Ian Oswalt (141) is another name to watch on Wednesday night for a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Oswalt, who finished the season with a 5-7 overall record and a 3-3 record in dual competition, was ranked #25 in the country for his weight class in the last NCAA DI Coaches Poll.
Two more names to watch on Wednesday night are Keegan Rothrock (165) and Andrew Reall (184). Rothrock is coming off of an impressive showing at the Ivy League Tournament, where he finished 3rd overall for his weight class after defeating Blaine Bergey (Princeton) and scoring a pinfall victory against Andy Troczynski (Penn).
Reall, who finished in 5th place at the Ivy Tournament for his weight class, has flashed some serious ability in his Freshman season with the Bears. Although he finished the season with a 12-16 overall record and a 4-5 record in dual competition, Reall picked up multiple technical fall victories, a major decision victory, and a pinfall win throughout the year. He has battled several nationally ranked opponents during the season and each time was able to compete at a high level.
