Women's Swimming & Diving Breaks Three School Records on Day Three of Ivies

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving moved into fourth-place after setting three program records on Day Three of the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships Friday night (Feb. 21).
The first program record of the night fell as Sumner Chmielewski broke her own record by almost three seconds in the 400 IM. Chmielewski finished third in the 400 IM with an NCAA B Cut time of 4:12.97. Emilia Barck finished 10th in the event (4:18.22).
Jenna Reznicek was the second Bear of the night to best her own program record as the senior finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.25.
Brown closed out the night with its final school-record performance as the squad of Reznicek, Ellie Brault, Lily Klinginsmith and Crystal Yuen setting the program record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:36.64.
The night opened with Klinginsmith finishing fourth with an NCAA B Cut time of 52.94 in the 100 butterfly. Zehra Bilgin finished eighth in the event with a time of 53.40.
In the 200 freestyle, Crystal Yuen finished in fifth with a time of 1:46.92, followed closely by Bilgin in sixth, who touched the wall in 1:47.76. Anna Podurgiel (1:48.40) and Kelly Dolce (1:48.61), finished 10th and 11th respectively.
Brault was the top finisher for Brown in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.96, good for a sixth-place finish.
The top diver for the Bears in the 3-meter was Elena Yeh, who finished in 14th place with a score of 245.75.
The 2025 Ivy League Championships will finish up on Saturday with 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 1650 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 11 a.m. with finals starting at 6 p.m.
