Field Hockey Picks Up Numerous NFHCA Academic Honors

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – The Brown Bears picked up several year-end academic awards from the NFHCA, announced over the last week by the Coaches Association.
The Bears picked up the NFHCA National Team Academic Award and 22 Bears earned a spot on the National Academic Squad with eight earning NFHCA Scholar of Distinction recognition.
Brown is one of 57 Division I teams to pick up the team honor, announced today by the Association.
The 22 student-athletes named to the National Academic Squad, listed below, were among the nearly 1,100 Division I field hockey players named to the list. Brown tied Monmouth and Villanova for the most representatives in the nation.
Over 275 student-athletes earned Scholar of Distinction honors with Monmouth leading the pack with 12 selections.
