2/14/2025 10:10:00 PM | Men's Basketball
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (11-10, 3-5) picked up a wire-to-wire 70-56 win over Princeton (16-7, 5-3) on Friday night inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
"Obviously it was a terrific performance from our team on both ends of the court," Head Men's Basketball Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 said. "The first half was probably one of the better halves we've played all year and the second half wasn't as clean as we wanted it to be with defensive rebounding and turnovers but our defense was outstanding, defending the paint was terrific."
Kino Lilly Jr. led the Bears offensively with 17 points on 5-11 shooting from the floor and 3-8 shooting from three-point range. N'famara Dabo chipped in with a career-high 13 points on 4-7 shooting from the floor to go along with four rebounds, two assists and five blocks. Five blocks for Dabo matches a career-high.
Leading 18-16 with 7:36 remaining in the first half, Brown launched a 15-0 run to push its lead to 33-16 with 3:27 remaining in the first half. The Bears went on to take an 18-point advantage into halftime, their largest lead of the opening 20 minutes.
The Bears shot 14-22 inside the arc in the first half and did not commit a turnover. On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears earned six first half steals headlined by Alexander Lesburt Jr. who had two.
Overall, Brown led by as much as 23 points with 14:27 to go in regulation as Lilly Jr. had 14 of his 17 points in the final 20 minutes. Dabo contributed four second half blocks for the Bears.
