11/6/2025 8:00:00 AM | Men's Swimming & Diving
The Brown men's swimming and diving program enters the 2025-26 season aiming to build on a fourth-place finish at the Ivy League Championships. The Bears shattered multiple program records last year and return a few of the new record holders, including Marton Nagy, who set seven new standards for Brown as a freshman in 2024-25.
Ollie '50 & Kay Patrell Men's Swimming/Diving Coaching Chair Kevin Norman is in his seventh season leading the men's swim and dive program. The 2025-26 campaign begins in Hanover, New Hampshire, as the divers compete against Dartmouth and Princeton on Friday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m. The swimmers start the season on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. against the Big Green and Tigers.
Key Returners to Watch
Marton Nagy (Sophomore). Nagy had an immediate impact in his debut season. He set program records in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, and 400 IM, and was a member of the record-breaking 800 free relay and 200 medley relay teams. Nagy won the 400 IM at the 2025 Ivy League Championships, earning First Team All-Ivy for his efforts.
Rowland Lawver (Senior). Lawver anchors the diving side of the program and has been a reliable scorer on both boards. Last season, he won Brown's first 1-meter Ivy Championship since 2012, and holds the program record in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive.
Matt Williamson (Junior). Williamson emerged and placed sixth in the 1650-yard free at the 2025 Ivy Championships and set program records in the 500 free and 1000 free.
Jonathan Gim (Junior). Gim swam the anchor leg of the school record 200 medley relay team and swam in the 50 and 100 free.
Tucker Peterson (Senior). Peterson was a member of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams that set program records, also at the 2025 Ivy League Championships.
Finn Quested (Junior). Quested was a member of the 200-meter medley record-breaking squad.
