No. 19 Field Hockey Hosts No. 5 Princeton on Friday, Travels to Providence on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown field hockey team (8-4, 3-2) will welcome No. 5 Princeton (10-3, 4-1) on Friday before traveling to Providence (8-6, 1-4) on Sunday.
Prior to the game against Princeton, Brown will honor its three-member senior class.
National Noise
For the second-straight week, Brown was ranked in the NFHCA Penn/Monto Division I National Coaches Poll. After checking in at No. 20 last week, Brown moved up to No. 19. The Bears also moved up to No. 14 in RPI.
Scouting Brown
The Bears will look to punch their ticket to the Ivy League Tournament for the second consecutive season with a win over Princeton. With two wins this weekend, the Bears can have 10 wins in a season for the fifth time in program history and the first time since 2003.
Brown's 3.08 assists per game ranks seventh nationally and first in the Ivy League, its 3.16 scoring average ranks 12th nationally.
The Bears' 9.58 points per game ranks 10th nationally and first in the Ivy League. Lexi Pellegrino's 10 goals and 1.92 points per game are both tied for second in the Ivy League. Pellegrino has 35 career goals, the Westwood, Mass. native is three goals away from passing Meghan O'Donnell '15 for the most goals in program history.
Lucy Adams and Mia Karine Myklebust both rank second in the Ivy League with eight assists.
Scouting Princeton
The Tigers come to Goldberger Family Field riding a six-game winning streak. Princeton's lone Ivy League loss came in a 3-1 defeat against Harvard (Sept. 26).
Princeton is 5-0 on the road this season and its 0.99 goals against average ranks eighth nationally. Olivia Caponiti was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week and the NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
Scouting Providence
The Friars will travel to Villanova on Friday, Oct. 24 before hosting the Bears. Providence is 7-2 in non-conference action this season. Bo Martina leads Providence with eight goals and 18 points, Carly Van Benten is right behind her with five goals and seven assists.
History
Brown is 8-38-1 all-time against Princeton, the Bears will be seeking their first win against the Tigers since 1999. Brown is 11-28-2 all-time against Providence. Last season, the Bears captured a 2-1 win over the Friars.
What's Next
Brown will conclude the 2025 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Dartmouth at 1 p.m.
