Football to Host Princeton on Family Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Riding a two-game winning streak and off to a 3-1 start, the Brown football team will return home for the first time in four weeks to host the Princeton Tigers on Saturday afternoon at Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium.
The game will also be a Pink Out in conjunction with the program's annual Bench Press for Cancer, which is set to take place on Monday, October 20.

OPENING KICKOFF
- At 3-1 overall, Brown is off to its best four-game start since 2013.
- Brown is receiving votes in both the Stats Perform and AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 polls this week for the second straight week.
- The Bears lead the Ivy League with 12.0 sacks and five fumble recoveries through the first three games.
- Brown is seventh in the FCS with 3.00 sacks per game.
- The Bears have allowed 20.3 points per game this season, second-best in the Ivy League and 16th in FCS.
OCEAN STATE CHAMPS
- The Bears defeated both URI (28-21) and Bryant (29-19) to go 2-0 against their in-state rivals for the first time since 2017.
CLEAN SWEEP
- Brown won all three of its non-league games this season for the first time since 2013. That season, the Bears defeated the same three opponents as this season in Georgetown, Rhode Island and Bryant.

- Brown is receiving votes in both the Stats Perform and AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 Polls this week.
- It is the second week in a row Brown is receiving votes in both polls, and the third time this season they are receiving votes in at least one of the national polls.
STARTING STRONG
- Brown is seeking its first 4-1 start since the 2011 season. It began that campaign 7-1 before dropping a pair of one possession games to close the season.
EYES ON THE PASS RUSH
- Entering this weekend, Brown leads the Ivy League with 12.0 sacks through four games, while Princeton has allowed a league-high 13 sacks.
BEHIND THE (ANCIENT) EIGHT BALL
- Entering this matchup with Princeton, Brown has not held a lead in an Ivy League game since the final minute of their victory last season over Harvard on Sept. 28, 2024.
- During Brown's 2024 victory over Cornell, the Bears took their only lead on a game-winning field goal as time expired to win 23-21.
QUELLING THE BIG PLAYS
- Brown has allowed a touchdown of 43 yards or greater in 14 of the 20 games across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
- So far in 2025, Brown has allowed only one such score through the first four games, which came on a 44-yard pass against Harvard.
