Men's Swimming & Diving Closes Dual Meet Season Against Cornell with Seven Wins

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming finished its dual meet season against Cornell on Saturday's senior day. The Bears earned seven wins on the day.
Brown began the afternoon with a win in the 200 medley relay by the team of Marton Nagy, Jack Kelly, Tucker Peterson and Marcus Lee (1:26.15).
The top-two spots in the 1000 freestyle belonged to the Bears with Matt Williamson winning the event (9:02.92) and Christian Duetoft taking second (9:07.10).
Jack Kelly earned the win in the 100 breaststroke finishing with a time of 52.86. Kelly also won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 1:54.05 and Jake Regenwetter took second (1:58.62).
Nagy earned a win in the 200 IM, clocking a time of 1:44.99.
Brown swept the boards with the trio of Rowland Lawver, Matteo Vasiliadis and Marcel Mateos Salles going 1-2-3 in both events. Lawver scored 377.63 on the 1-meter and 380.46 on the 3-meter.
The Bears also had multiple second-place finishes – Nagy (100 backstroke – 48.11, 200 backstroke – 1:43.98)), Lee (50 freestyle – 19.97, 100 freestyle – 43.75) and Duetoft (500 freestyle – 4:25.63).
