Men’s Tennis Sweeps Merrimack to Open 2025 Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team opened up its spring season with a 4-0 and a 6-1 victory over Merrimack on Friday.
Brown's sweep began with a 4-0 victory over Merrimack as two out of three doubles pairings earned victories. Alex Finkelstein and Zander Bravo along with Sam Feldman and James Lian were the pairings to earn a victory, Oliver Worth and Lukas Phimvongsa's first doubles match of the day went unfinished after being tied at four.
Alex Finkelstein, Sam Feldman, and Zander Bravo all picked up victories in their first singles match of the day, James Lian's singles match went unfinished.
Brown completed its sweep of Merrimack with a 6-1 victory in the second batch of competitions. Lukas Phimvongsa and Oliver picked up their first doubles victory of the day as Sam Feldman and Toby Luo earned their second doubles win of the day.
In singles, Sam Feldman and Zander Bravo picked up their second victory of the day as Lukas Phimvongsa, Toby Luo, and Brian Chong rounded out the singles victories for the Bears.
Brown will be back in action on Sunday, Jan. 19 when they welcome Fordham at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
