Women's Tennis Opens Spring Season at Home on Monday

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's tennis team will open up their spring season on Monday when they host Boston College at 2 p.m.
The Season Ahead
The Bears' spring slate features 20 matches including opponents such as Texas Christian University, and Baylor University. Brown will compete in the ECAC Championships at Penn from February 7-9. The season will continue on with conference play beginning on March 29 when Brown hosts Yale. The NCAA's will mark the end of the season with the first and second rounds from May 1-3, Super Regional from May 8-9, and finals from May 14-23.
Recapping the Fall
First-year student-athletes Ali Maguy and Bella Hu had strong starts to the 2024-25 season, posting impressive 7-1 and 7-4 singles records, respectively.Â
While the fall season saw many different doubles combinations, the pairing of sophomore Hannah Shen and Hu stood out with a 4-1 record out of the five matches that they competed in.Â
Brown competed at the Bulldog Invitational, Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals, Ivy League Invitational, Harvard Quad Team Event, and ITA Sectional Championships. The Bears hosted the one home event in the fall, the Bruno Classic.

The Bears are ready to get back to work, and carry their momentum from the fall into the spring season ahead. Brown will continue their season on February 1, when they host Bryant at 10 a.m.
