Football Hosts 32nd Annual BFA Golf Classic

BARRINGTON, R.I. – The 32nd Annual Brown Football Association Golf Classic was held this Monday, August 5 at Rhode Island Country Club. The event featured a max capacity of approximately 150 golfers, who enjoyed an afternoon on the links and the annual awards dinner.
After a full round of golf and a silent auction, the awards dinner was emceed by Scott Cordischi, the voice of the Bears, and featured remarks from head coach James Perry '00, ESPN's Chris Berman '77, and BFA Executive Committee Chair Mike Bernert '76
The program featured the presentation of two awards, the Robert F. Hall '66 Award and the Andrew J. Joslin '65 Award.
The Hall Award was presented to John Anderson, Jr. P' 11, P'18, which is given annually to those who have distinguished themselves in support of the BFA Golf Classic. Anderson has served for many years as the color commentator for Brown football broadcasts on ESPN+ and on the radio.
The Joslin Award was presented to Jim Ratigan '91 in recognition for outstanding contributions to Brown football. The award is presented annually and is the only alumni service award given out by the Association.
