Reed Earns Major Award; Seven Bears Named Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown football senior defensive back Isaiah Reed has been named a Phil Steele First Team Preseason All-American and was named the Ivy League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, the organization announced on Friday. Reed was also one of seven members of the Bears to be named to Phil Steele's Preseason All-Ivy teams.

Reed is one of two Ivy Leaguers to be named a Phil Steele Preseason All-American and the only one on the first team. It is his third preseason All-America honor this summer, having previously been named Second Team Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America, and Second Team Preseason All-America by Sports Illustrated's FCS Football Central. He was also one of 63 FCS players named to the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000, highlighting the top 1000 NFL Prospects.
Also earning First Team Preseason All-Ivy honors are offensive linemen Jack Connolly and Hayden Bozich, defensive lineman Kyle Philbin, and longsnapper Michael Davidson. Earning Second Team honors were quarterback Jake Willcox and kicker Christopher Maron.
