PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown football rising senior Isaiah Reed has been named a Stats Perform FCS Second Team Preseason All-American, the organization announced on Monday.
The award is the second preseason All-America honor for the Tampa, Florida native, who was previously named a Second Team Preseason All-American by Sports Illustrated's FCS Football Central.
Reed is one of three Ivy Leaguers to make Stats Perform's FCS Preseason list, being joined on the Second Team by Penn receiver Jared Richardson and Dartmouth kicker Owen Zalc.
Reed is coming off another strong season in 2023, where the junior captain earned First Team All-Ivy and First Team Phil Steele All-Ivy honors, in addition to being named to the New England Football Writers All-New England team. He led the Ivy League with five interceptions and ranked tied for second in all of FCS Football with 0.5 interceptions per game. He also led the league and ranked eighth nationally with 1.3 passes defended per game.
Reed finished the season with 50.0 total tackles (32.0 solo), including season-highs of 9.0 tackles and three pass breakups in the season-opening win at Bryant. He had two interceptions at Penn, including one in the end zone in the closing moments to help seal the win. He also added a 35-yard pick-six against Yale.
Brown will open the 2024 season on Saturday, September 21 at Georgetown before hosting Harvard in the home opener on September 28. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here. For more information on season ticket holder benefits, click here.
