
Amie Barrow and Zehra Bilgin to Compete in 2024 Paris Olympics

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming's Amie Barrow and Zehra Bilgin will compete in the 2024 Olympics, representing The Gambia and Turkey, respectively.
Barrow will become the first woman to represent The Gambia in swimming when she competes in the 100 meter breaststroke on Saturday, July 28.
Bilgin will be a part of the 4x200 meter freestyle relay for Turkey, with her event taking place on Thursday, August 1.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will kick off on Friday, July 26 and run through Sunday, August 11. The city of Paris will welcome more than 10,000 Olympians from around the world to compete in 32 different sports. Tune into NBC and Peacock to watch the Opening Ceremony at noon on July 26.
