Women's Water Polo Takes Third in CWPA Tournament With Win Over Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown women's water polo finished third in the CWPA Tournament after beating Harvard 13-12 in overtime on Sunday.
Brown was led by three goals each from Madeleine Poissonnier, Claire Poissonnier and Aubrie Anderson.
The game was tied 4-4 after one quarter with goals from Claire Poissonnier, Ella Palmer, Cleo Washer and Anderson.
Claire Poissonnier, Hanna Tidrenczel and Sierra Martin all scored in the second as Brown led 7-6 at the half.
The Poissonnier sisters each scored in the third quarter as the game entered the fourth tied at nine.
Anderson scored both of Brown's goals in the fourth quarter, including tying the game with five seconds left on the clock to send the game into overtime.
Madeleine Poissonnier tallied the game's first goal in the extra periods but Harvard scored less than minute later to tie the game. Poissonnier's second overtime goal came with 37 seconds left on the clock in the second OT and Brown's defense kept the Crimson off the scoreboard to secure the win.
