Women's Crew Continues Spring Season at Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. – The seventh-ranked Brown Bears continued its spring slate at Cornell Saturday morning, picking up five wins in Ithaca.
"The Dunn Bowl is one of our oldest cup races and competing for it has always been an important part of our season," said head coach John Murphy. "All of our crews raced hard today and we feel good about the results."
Brown's Varsity 8 clocked a time of 6:17.9 for the victory over the top Cornell crew. The 2V8 saw similar results, posting a time of 6:31.9 to beat the Big Red.
In the 3V8, Brown posted a time of 6:51.0 for the win over the Big Red. Brown's 4V8 also beat the third Cornell boat with a time of 6:58.7 to clear the Cornell shell.
Brown's A4 continued the trend of the day, posting a time of 7:05.6 to beat Cornell. The Bruno B4 and C4 crews both took wins over Cornell's B4, posting respective times of 7:18.3 and 7:35.9.
Brown competes in the Eastern Sprints next Sunday (May 5) in Worcester, Massachusetts.
