INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Brown swimmer Jack Kelly finished eighth in the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, earning First Team All-American honors. Kelly finished with a time of 1:53.27 in the event.
The junior became the first Bear to earn All-American honors since 2012 when Tommy Glenn was named Honorable Mention for his performance in the 200 butterfly. Prior to Glenn, the last All-American for Brown was Carl Paulson in 1943 and 1944.
Kelly just missed out on another All-American honor earlier in the meet, finishing 18th in the 100 breaststroke. First Team All-American honors go to places 1-8 and Second Team honors to places 9-16.
Kelly also competed in the 200 IM.
