Union and RPI up Next for Women's Hockey

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown women's hockey, who is in receiving votes category of the latest USA Hockey rankings, turns the page to February and the beginning of four-straight road games at Union and RPI.
The Bears are playing their best hockey of the season at the right time after an unbeaten home weekend against No. 12 Princeton and No. 8 Quinnipiac. Brown remains in eighth place in the ECAC standings with 18 points and could move up to seventh depending on this weekend.

The Bears are playing their best hockey of the season at the right time after an unbeaten home weekend against No. 12 Princeton and No. 8 Quinnipiac. Brown remains in eighth place in the ECAC standings with 18 points and could move up to seventh depending on this weekend.
Scouting the Bears
- Senior Kaley Doyle was the story against Princeton with 43 saves in a 1-1 tie, which matched her career high. Sophomore Jade Iginla scored with assists from classmate India McDadi and freshman Sam Broz.
- Brown then played its best game of the season versus Quinnipiac, outshooting the Bobcats 29-23 on goal. Scoring were sophomore Gali Levy, Broz, freshman Margot Norehad and Iginla.
- Iginla (12-7-19) and McDadi (7-12-19) lead the team in points.
- The freshmen trio of Broz (5-9-14), Norehad (7-5-12), and Ava DeCoste (3-7-10) all have 10 points or more for the Bears.Â
- Senior Kaley Doyle, the reigning MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week, has a 2.12 GAA and .931 SV% on the year.
- Union is currently on a six-game losing streak with their last three losses against Dartmouth, RPI and Harvard.
- The Garnet Chargers are in ninth place in the ECAC standings with 13 points.
- Sophomore Riley Walsh leads the team with 23 points and is tied for the team lead with nine goals and is the leader with 14 assists.
- Freshman Maddie Leaney also has nine goals on the year and adds seven assists for 16 points.
- Junior Sophie Moutsakas recently notched her 2,000th-career save and has a 2.83 GAA and .900 SV% in 24 starts this season.
- RPI has won two in a row against Dartmouth and Union after losing their previous 13 ECAC games.
- The Engineers sit in last place of the conference standings with seven points.
- Grad student Marah Wagner leads the team with 20 points with five goals and 15 assists.
- RPI has 10 players with 10Â or more points.
- Grad student Amanda Rampado has a 2.28 GAA and .918 SV% in 25 starts this season.
