Men's Water Polo Bests Iona Behind Kratimenos's 18 Saves

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo (15-8, 5-3 NWPC) took down Iona (10-12, 5-4 NWPC), 17-9 as the Bears opened up their final weekend of the regular season and NWPC play.
Dimitris Kratimenos finished the match with 18 saves as Brown shut down Iona's offense in the second half to pull away.
Ilias Stothart led all scorers with five goals, while Mac Berry and Dominik Balla each had four, which matched both player's career-highs.
Brown led 8-6 at halftime after outscoring Iona 4-3 in each quarter. The Bears pulled away in the third, winning the frame 6-2 and finished the game with a 3-1 advantage over the final eight minutes.
UP NEXT
Brown will host Princeton (11 a.m.) and LIU (4 p.m.) to close out the regular season on Sunday. The Bears will honor their senior class before the game against Long Island.
