
Field Hockey To Play #2 Harvard in Semifinal of Ivy League Tournament

PROVIDENCE – No. 3 Brown (9-7, 4-3 Ivy) is headed to Princeton to take on No. 2 Harvard (13-3, 6-1 Ivy) in the semifinal game) as they make their first Ivy League Tournament appearance.
The game is set to take place at 2:30 p.m. at Bedford Field in Princeton, N.J. This game will be streamed on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown leads the nation in penalty corners per game, recording an average of 9.82 per game.
- Leading the Brown offense is a trio composed of Katie McCallum, Mia Karine Myklebust and Lucy Adams. McCallum leads the team with 22 points, Myklebust leads the team with nine goals and Adams leads the team with 11 assists. Myklebust and Adams follow close behind McCallum recording 19 points each.
- Defensively, Julia Hitti anchors the back recording four defensive saves. She is tied for 10th in the nation this season.
- In net for the Bears starting all 16 games this season is sophomore Kylee Del Monte. She records 0.673 save percentage and posts 2.03 goals against average.
- Harvard has seven Ivy League Championship titles in their program history dating back to 1990 and have made several Ivy League Tournament appearances. They have earned two titles in the last four seasons, most recently in 2023.
- Harvard scoring leaders are Lara Beekhuis and Sage Piekarski, both record nine goals and two assists, earning 20 points. Additionally, Bronte-May Brough and Martha le Huray both lead the team with five assists each.
- Defensively, three different Crimson record defensive saves. Bronte-May Brough and Kitty Chapple both record two, and Emily Guckian records one.
- Harvard allows 1.25 goals per game. Tessa Shahbo has appeared in 15 of the Crimson's 16 games; she posts a 0.782 save percentage and holds 1.16 goals against average. She sits in 16th in the nation for GAA.
- Friday marks the 53rd meeting between Brown and Harvard in a series dating back to 1973. Harvard holds a 32-12-8 overall series record against Brown and have won nine straight games.
- The most recent win was earlier this season; The Crimson recorded a 4-0 win over Brown.
